I prayed that Jim will be my first and last.

But You decided he’ll just be the first.

All he has given me are tears.

I prayed

that Jack will give me a ring

and we’ll live happily ever after.

But You said, “Here’s your ring and wear it until you get fatter.”

Jack looked for another.

I prayed that Dave will be my prince

and we’ll build a house with a fence.

But You have shown me that Dave is but a frog.

It’s better to kiss a bug.

I prayed for so many guys to be my forever.

But You taught me that forever is meant for only one –

Someone who will say Never –

Never will I love someone else.

Never will I hurt you.

Never will I deny you.

Never will I abandon you.

Never will I desire forever,

If it is not with you.
